Ten Guidelines From God

1 QUIT WORRYING:
Life has dealt you a blow and all you do is sit and worry. Have you forgotten that I am here to take all your burdens and carry them for you? Alternatively, do you just enjoy fretting over every little thing that comes your way?

2. PUT IT ON THE LIST:
Something needs done or taken care of. Put it on the list. No, not YOUR list. Put it on MY to-do-list. Let ME be the one to take care of the problem. I cannot help you until you turn it over to Me. Moreover, although My to-do-list is long, I am after all... God. I can take care of anything you put into My hands. In fact, if the truth were ever really known, I take care of many things for you that you never even realize.

3. TRUST ME:
Once you have given your burdens to Me, quit trying to take them back. Trust in Me.
Have the faith that I will take care of all your needs, your problems and your trials.
Problems with the kids? Put them on My list.
Problem with finances? Put it on My list.
Problems with your emotional roller coaster ?
For My sake, put it on My list. I want to help you. All you have to do is ask.

4. LEAVE IT ALONE:
Do not wake up one morning and say, 'Well, I'm feeling much stronger now; I think I can handle it from here.' Why do you think
you are feeling stronger now? It is simple. You gave Me your burdens and I am taking care of them. I also renew your strength and cover you in my peace. Don't you know that if I give you these problems back, you will be right back where you started?
Leave them with Me and forget about them. Just let Me do my job.

5. TALK TO ME:
I want you to forget many things.
Forget what was making you crazy.
Forget the worry and the fretting because you know I am in control. Nevertheless, there is one thing I pray you never forget.
Please, do not forget to talk to Me - OFTEN! I love YOU!
I want to hear your voice. I want you to include Me in on the things going on in your life.
I want to hear you talk about your friends and family. Prayer is simply you having a conversation with Me. I want to be your dearest friend.

6. HAVE FAITH:
I see many things from up here that you cannot see from where you are. Have faith in Me that I know what I am doing.
Trust Me; you would not want the view from My eyes.
I will continue to care for you, watch over you, and meet your needs. You only have to trust Me.
Although I have a much bigger task than you do, it seems as if you have so much trouble just doing your simple part. How hard can trust be?

7. SHARE:
You were taught to share when you were only two years old. When did you forget?
That rule still applies. Share with those who are less fortunate than you are. Share your joy with those who need encouragement. Share your laughter with those who have not heard any in such a long time. Share your tears with those who have forgotten how to cry. Share your faith with those who have none.

8. BE PATIENT:
I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime you could have so many diverse experiences.
You grow from a child to an adult, have children, change jobs many times, learn many trades, travel to so many places, meet thousands of people, and experience so much. How can you be so impatient then when it takes Me a little longer than you expect to handle something on My to-do-list? Trust in My timing, for My timing is perfect. Just because I created the entire universe in only six days, everyone thinks I should always rush, rush, and rush.

9. BE KIND:
Be kind to others, for I love them just as much as I love you. They may not dress like you, or talk like you, or live the same way you do, but I still love you all. Please try to get along, for My sake. I created each of you different in some way. It would be too boring if you were all identical.
Please, know I love each of your differences.

10. LOVE YOURSELF:
As much as I love you, how can you not love yourself?
I created you for one reason only -- to be loved, and to love in return. I am a God of Love. Love Me.
Love your neighbors. Also, love yourself. It makes My heart ache when I see you so angry with yourself when things go wrong. You are very precious to me.
Do not ever forget...

Distractions:

that which distracts, divides the attention, or prevents concentration:

Isaiah 22:1 This message came to me concerning Jerusalem—the Valley of Vision: What is happening?
Why is everyone running to the rooftops?

Know ye not that the enemy is the master of distractions? It is the goal of the enemy to get our minds so entangled in what is happening around us that we loose our grip and our focus on the vision God has placed in our lap. Distractions divide our attention. We are supposed to be focused on one project, yet we are distracted by someone else's project.

For Example: God gives me a vision to remodel my home. Then He gives the same vision to my neighbor. We both go to Home Depot, buy the products, collect the paint samples and hire the help. My vision is to remodel my bathroom. My neighbors vision is to remodel the den. After both projects have begun and the contractors are underway, I decide to go to my neighbors home and survey the work. When I arrive, I do not like the color, the furniture is not my taste and workers aren't moving fast enough. So, because I want to be so helpful, I keep close to my neighbor daily and guide her through this process. Now, back at my home, one of the contractors have been sick, I forget to buy some needed products and the workers have just kind of sat around waiting for my instructions. What has happened? I allowed the distraction of another persons vision delay my own vision.

How often are we doing this? Only God can do ALL things, we can not. The number 8 represents "New Beginnings". I encourage everyone, including myself to go get your vision off the shelf, dust it off and get to work. Don't let the distractions of the Presidential Elections, Earthquakes, Tornadoes, backstabbers, dream killers and haters delay the vision God has for you. We walk by faith, not by sight.

Command Your Day*****EVERYDAY*****

In Christ I am anointed and a powerful person of God.
I am a joint-heir with Jesus and more than a conqueror.
I am a doer of the Word of God and a channel for His blessings.
If God be for me, who can be against me?

My enemies are fleeing before me. God has commanded His blessings

into His marvelous light. 1Peter 2:24 states I have been healed by the stripes
of Jesus. No sickness, disease, affliction, infection or any of the sort shall
enter this body or the bodies of my family. I am without spot or blemish,
an Intercessor, the righteousness of God, saved and washed in the blood of
Jesus. No weapon formed against me shall prosper and every tongue which
rises against me in judgement You shall condemn. This is the heritage of
the servants of the Lord and their righteousness is from Me, "says the Lord".
I am saved from the wrath of Him and justified by the Blood of the Lamb.
Lord I pray that those may prosper that love Jerusalem and the peace will
be within them and prosperity in their houses according to Psalms 122:6-9.

I seal this prayer In the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen

Five Alarm Fire Without Contact

Do you feel like somebody turned up the heat in your life?

If your answer is yes, you are definitely not alone. When I am in the "furnace of affliction", I find myself remembering the Word and changing one name. I remember 3 Hebrews; Shadrach, Meshach and Roberta. Put in the fiery furnace of afflictions. There was a time in my life when I let the furnace consume me. I did not know about Jehovah Shammah. God is in that 5 alarm fire with you. Look around and look up. If you can't see him, I know you can feel him. And the Glory to the story is, YOU WON'T SMELL LIKE THE SMOKE. Start Praising and then pray for your family in Christ.

Growing Up in the Spirit

The Word of Truth tells us, we need to stop drinking milk and start eating the solid foods of His Word. I have heard a Minister reference, " why are God's children standing at the altar every Sunday for repentance? Can we Not stay saved from Sunday to Sunday?". If we are NOT crucifying our flesh daily and praying continually, we are lacking the basics of Christianity. The Word of God speaks in Hebrews 6. Ready.. Read..

Hebrews 6
1Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And God permitting, we will do so.
It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.

Mrs. Roberta Carter is a native of Natchez Ms born December 30, 1970. She is the wife of an extraordinary man after God’s own heart Mr. Robert Carter native of Monroe/Bastrop La. Mr. and Mrs. Carter currently reside in Houston Texas and are parents to three amazing children Carl Lee Bates Jr. age 19, Kiarra Lashonda Bates age 16 and Emanuel Lee Carter age 2. And last but not least Schuyler Carter age 22 currently residing in Chicago IL. Professionally, she is a Travel Consultant servicing clients with travel needs in the area of Bereavement.

Spiritually, Roberta is a product of Jeremiah 29:11 and Isaiah 61. Constantly seeking for love and acceptance from the world, Roberta made many bad choices that led her down a road of many afflictions resulting in purification and seeking a life of holiness. James 5:13-16 The Prayer of Faith
13 Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.
14 Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.
15And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.
16Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Isaiah 53
3He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness; and like One from Whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him.
4Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. 5But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.

The Bible declares that the effective fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much and has tremendous power in it's workings. There are many needs in the body of Christ and most have gone without prayer. God has given us instructions to go to the Church to recieve prayer for deliverance, healing, depression, financial needs, career opportunities and all things. I inquire of you to trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to your own understanding. Be of courage and the Lord shall strengthen thine heart.

I declare that what was written of the people and areas on God's List in the volume of the book, our prophetic destiny and purpose will be fullfilled NOW without delay or interference . I declare that divine timing, strategic relationships, open doors, favor in high places shall manifest continually in my life and the lives of every person and area on God's List. I declare that God will rule in favor of God's list and divine order for restoration and restitution shall be signed by the blood of the Lamb and enforced by the angels of God on every level. Victory shall be published throughout heaven and earth and underneath earth. All shame and reproach shall be washed away and WE SHALL RECEIVE DOUBLE. And I seal this prayer in the name of JESUS...

MY VALENTINE

I just had to brag about this Man of mine.

He wakes me up in the morning to birds singing and fresh flowers.

He brushes my hair and makes my face over.

He washes me inside and out.

When I am sick, He is my medicine.

He anoints my head with the finest oil.

He adorns me with all sorts of diamonds and precious gems

He takes care of all my needs

All my bills are paid with the MASTERcard of Grace.

He does not tell me he loves me, He shows me love everyday.

My Man never disappoints me, He is always on time.

He wipes my tears and holds me as long as I need Him to.

If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.”- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

Oh my what a profound scripture. This scripture asks a serious questions and makes a valid point.

There are Christians who believe that works without love is real work. News Flash! God is love.
The most important attribute of a believer is the gift to love. Love thy neighbor as thy self. Don't just
talk about love, show love.
EXTRA EXTRA read the bible. The bible is a book which includes poetry and love songs. When we
say " I am a Christian add love to that ingredient.

Introduction

Back to basics with prayer is your first giant step in spiritual growth and building a life relationship with God our Father. As a believer, we can read the bible from Genesis to Revelations, but if we do not have a life centered with prayer, Christianity is pointless. We can not deal with the challenges of life using man made weapons. Our weapons are not carnal, but mighty through the pulling down of strongholds; and this is done through prayer and Intercession.
Prayer is communication between a believer and God.
Intercession is entreaty in favor of another; or praying in favor of another person.
In the beginning, when God created Adam, He created him in the likeness of God. He also created Adam to have someone to communicate with. This is evidence that God wants to communicate with His children. Some of you may ask and wonder, who are the children of God or how do I become a child of God? I am glad you are asking this age old question In Romans 8:29 Paul writes; for those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers.
Foreknew simply means God knew all His children before we were born.
Predestined means God had already made up His mind about you and this is no accident that you are reading this book and seeking a closer relationship with God.
Back to basics with prayer is also an attempt to help the body of Christ understand how relationship with God is more important than status. We have become so spiritual and politically correct, that not many people that are new comers to the body of Christ are able to get off the ground floor spiritually. There is an amazingly enormous amount of Christians who do not know the basics of the bible or the simple bible stories I was taught as a child in the 1970’s and 1980’s. For example; The Ten Commandments, The Model Prayer, Jonah and
Whale, The Three Hebrew boys, David and Goliath, and the 23rd Psalm are just to name a few of the simple stories of the bible many tenured Christians learned in their childhood. Now that we are adults and are now reading and learning more about the theology of the Bible, we are under the assumption that everyone is on the same page.
This first edition of Passions of and Intercessor will help you recognize the need for prayer and hopefully give you a better understanding of the power and authority we have been given by God through prayer. I spoke to the Mountain is a subtitle given to me by God through personal experience and warfare. As a result of several situations in my life where I was standing in front of a mountain sized situation that I could not handle in my own strength, I found a scripture in Matthew 17:20-21. Jesus told the disciples, if they had faith the size of a grain of mustard seed, they could speak to the mountains in their life and nothing would be impossible for them. However, this kind comes only by prayer and fasting. In obedience to this scripture, I did just as Jesus advised the disciples. And without the assistance of a famous church leader, the Holy Spirit and I overcame many mountain sized situations in
my life. It is my desire to pass on to you what God has given me. As you read this short but powerful book, you will learn basic bible principles with the proper ingredients and prayer.

Assistant: something that aids and supplements another.

Matthew 17: 19Then the disciples came to Jesus and asked privately, Why could we not drive it out? 20He said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith [that is, your lack of firmly relying trust]. For truly I say to you, if you have faith that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you. 21But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.

Even the disciples had problems in the area of utilizing their assistants.
What was proven in the above scripture?
1. The disciples obviously needed some assistance because in the area of demonic possession, they were powerless.
2. They did not have the faith required for the calling.
3. Jesus knew they needed something extra called fasting.

The number one assistant: Belief

Belief: confidence in the truth or existence of something not immediately susceptible to rigorous proof.

Jesus told the disciples “if you have faith the size of a grain of mustard seed”.

As stated in my book; Where you attend Church, how often you attend service, the people around you think you are anointed and all of the like does not count for anything if you question in your heart whether God exists or if the statements and stories in the bible are true. Christianity is about what you believe. The first action of a Christian is the confession that we believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and He did in fact die on the cross for our sins.
How strongly we believe in our faith equals our level of faith that God will perform everything written in His Word.
Our belief is our greatest weapon against the enemy.

The definition for satan is the accuser.

When he brings an accusation against you, what do you belief? When he tells you that you are sick, what do you belief?

Isaiah 53 1WHO HAS believed (trusted in, relied upon, and clung to) our message [of that which was revealed to us]? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been disclosed? 4Surely He has borne our grief’s (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. 5But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.

The first statement in Isaiah 53 asks a question; whose report will you believe?
If you do not believe that Jesus carried our sickness to the cross and by His stripes we are healed, why pray for healing. Christianity is not something we are by happenstance, God chose us to be His children.

I will shout it from the rooftop, RELATIONSHIP, RELATIONSHIP, RELATIONSHIP (WITH GOD).

Christianity is not about your favorite Preacher, speaking in tongues or Sunday worship service. Christianity is about our personal relationship with God.

Fasting: To abstain from food for a time.

There is no other weapon more powerful that fasting. Read the book of Esther. A fast caused a declaration or sentence of death to be overturned. No matter how pretty Esther was groomed to be, she could not effectively revoke the King’s decision without the power of God.
Stemming from our personal ignorance about fasting, Christians are not operating in complete power, because we lack wisdom and knowledge about the power of prayer and fasting. And NO, it is not the responsibility of your leader to teach you.
2Timothy 2: 15Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.

So let’s say it all together: IT IS NOT MY LEADERS RESPONSIBILITY TO TEACH ME EVERY WORD IN THE BIBLE.

On the Day of Judgment there is going to be a party of two at your eternal party. And guess what, your leader will not be number 2.
There are many assistants in the bible and most are listed in Ephesians six. I encourage you to effectively utilize the above three and watch your life transform.

The Authority to Pray
Authority: The power to determine, adjudicate or otherwise settle issues or disputes.

Statement one: You must pray in the same manner that Jesus gave the disciples. Forget the lie that says “just say whatever you want, God will hear you”. No He will not.

Scripture: Matthew 18:18-20; Mark 11:23-26 and Heb 4:12 Step 1:

I have to deal with me first. The number one prayer blockers are unresolved issues, past hurt, inner desires, selfish ambitions, pride and it’s all about me are just to name a few. If we do not deal with these issues first ,God is not listening.
Isaiah 1:14-15 tells us that first of all God is tired of seeing us in church with our hands raised offering praises to Him, yet we live in consistent sin. He tells us although we offer Him many prayers, He does not hear us.

Are you wondering why you have no authority or power when you pray?
Well, maybe it’s your lifestyle.
Or maybe you have been chosen to be sifted like wheat. Remember Job did no wrong, He was chosen. So, first things first do your homework on your very own person.

Jesus told us, greater works will we do.

Who is your adversary?
Satan is your adversary. Not your neighbor.

Job 1: 7And the Lord said to Satan, From where did you come? Then Satan answered the Lord, From going to and fro on the earth and from walking up and down on it.

Spiritual Warfare: We are in a fight.
Outcome: God has already won.
As a believer we must know which weapons to use and understand the weapons being used against us. What is satan’s greatest weapon?
Deception
Homosexuality
Drug Addiction
Alcoholism
The Love of Money
Selfishness
Impure Motives
Arrogance
Jealously
All of these are considered to be subtle deception.
The enemy studies each individual. How can he study without being Present in our lives at one time or another. Is not the thought of the devil Watching over you eerie?
Story of Eve is a timeless example of how deceptive our adversary can be.
Notice his style, method and motive.
He did not change the commandment of God he spoke it in a different context. He did not tell Eve she could not eat the fruit. He asked her questions and offered a different result.
Genesis 2: 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "
4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

Have you ever considered that Eve in somehow wanted power more than the fruit? Consider the fact that Eve did not need food, she had plenty. She was not hungry. What was her real motive for eating the fruit?
The same with our lives, what are the motives for why we do some of the things we do?
We must know our adversary.
We have to know just as much about him as he knows about us. Satan did not go to Adam.

Have you considered he studied Adam and knew Adam would not give in so easily. Or that maybe Adam would pray and ask God “did you hear the serpent, is that true?” Also consider, satan comes to tempt you because he knows you will not go to God in prayer and ask God if the information you are receiving is true or False.

Phillipians 4:6-7 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

JUBILEE FOR JESUS Greetings !!!!

We have all heard the saying “it takes a whole village to raise one child”. And in the "New Millennium" where we live today, it takes more than a village. God has given me a burden for children. My name is Roberta Carter and I am a Christian Youth Leader currently living in Southwest Houston. I would like to begin Children Bible Studies in the Alief/Fort Bend area on Sunday Afternoons from 1- 2pm. Bible study will take place every Sunday unless a note has been distributed.

Jubilee for Jesus- Children's Bible Study
Jubilee is a back to basic bible study for children of all ages. My target ages are 4-12. Most children do not know the basics of the bible and most often they are left behind in church. Children have been left to learn the basics of the bible on their own. I was raised in a moderate size community in Mississippi. The Ministers were not teaching in the new modern day type of preaching. They went over and over scriptures and stories in the bible until we remembered them. In fact, most of what I remember was taught to me as a child. I want to give back and sow seeds of basic bible knowledge into the lives of our children. Topics I plan to discuss:
Who is God?
Who is Jesus?
What is a Christian?
What is the Trinity?
Why do we get baptized?
What is a bible and where did it come from?
What are the Ten Commandments?
They will learn the simple stories of the bible like;
David and Goliath
Jonah and the Whale
The Story of Jesus
The Three Hebrew Boys and the fiery furnace.

As well as learning how to read the bible.
Materials will be provided by me and there is no cost to attend. Parents are welcome to accompany their children.

Jubilee For Jesus is a children based outreach ministry.
Purpose: Teaching the basics of the bible.

I believe we should do all we can to spread the gospel to our children while they are small. I am sure we all agree that the smaller the child, the more they retain. And not only for the sake of memory, I have a nightmare that one day the song Amazing Grace will be extinct.

I have a huge concern with the fact that most of the children in this so-called new millennium do not read the bible and have no idea of who God is. TV and Video games have taken over and the bible is not an option.
My bible tells me, " the kingdom of God suffers violence, but the violent take it back by force".
So here I go.............

How do I access my authority? Ephesians 6:10-18
Our Weapons of Power:

Statement: As a believer I do not have to put on my armor. I have my armor on all the time.

The Belt of Truth

Example: If I receive information that does not line up to the Word such as a bad report from the Doctor. The Word of God tells me to tighten my belt. What does my belt which is the truth saying? My belt says by His stripes, I am healed. So I tighten my belt, I am not looking for a belt to put it on, I already have it on.

The Breastplate of Righteousness

How is your life at work and home or outside of the Church? Every believer needs to study scriptures on holiness and righteousness. We can not delete these out of the bible. The bible was written for reproof and correction not for pacification. We are not trying to live righteous, we are the righteous. We are living, visible images of Christ.

Sandals of Peace

Why are we such stiff necked people after receiving salvation? When another believer looks at you, do they see peace or a stressful countenance? We should walk in love and peace.

The Sword which is the Word

STUDY TO SHOW THYSELF APPROVED. All believers need to study the bible for themselves to show themselves approved before God. Have you ever heard the saying “ a pair of lips will tell you anything”? Well, guess what? It’s true. We can not fight the enemy with human words. The enemy only flees from the Word. Remember, “Paul I know, Jesus I Know, but who are you”?
The pieces of armor mentioned in Ephesians should be a permanent part of your body.

These pieces exist only inside, not outside.
